CeBIT is one of the world's most important computer exhibitions, together with Comdex in Las Vegas. It's the largest one worldwide.


Debian Involvement

The Debian project will be guest at the booth of credativ GmbH in exhibition hall 4, booth F 52. The Debian project will show its port to the AMD64 architecture, integration of Kolab, KDE, PostgreSQL and Debian, rollout with FAI and many more things.

In cooperation with Linux New Media and the German Linux-Magazin there will be a special DVD at this years CeBIT: A Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 sarge DVD with some backports for i386, AMD64 and powerpc. The DVD will be available at the Debian booth in exhibition hall 4, booth F 52 and at the booth of Linux New Media in exhibition hall 5 booth E 81.

There will be several Debian related talks in the LinuxForum of the LinuxPark in exhibition hall 5, booth E 81/1.

Klaus Knopper will present the new version of his Debian based Live-CD Knoppix daily from 12:00 to 13:00 at the booth of the Heise Verlag (exhibition hall 5, booth E38).

There will be no central key signing party, but people interested in exchanging fingerprints will meet daily at 16:00 MET at the Debian booth.
